Toby Benjamin, Manager & Sr. Loan Consultant

Toby began his career in finance with Security Pacific Bank (since merged with Bank of America) in 1969. He has been helping individuals with their home mortgage loan needs since 1978 when the choices were a conventional or government, 30 year or a 15 year fixed rate loan.

In the past, shopping for a mortgage lender was a simple matter of calling for the interest rate, and whoever had the lowest rate was the one you chose.

One of the most common calls he still receives is “What is your rate today?” The answer used to be simple, but not anymore. When a lender simply responds with a rate, without learning more about the personal financial profile and credit score, it is not fair to the prospective home buyer or borrower.

There are literally hundreds of different loan products available today to help all types of borrowers realize the dream of home ownership. With so many different products available, Toby believes that most borrowers need assistance in selecting the product that will best fit their needs.

Toby understands that a home purchase, whether it is the first time or not, is one of the single largest financial transactions that most people will be involved with. He believes that honesty and fairness is paramount in relationships with clients. He will take the time to be sure his clients understand the loan process, receive the best service, and he will keep them informed on the progress of the transaction throughout the process.
